This project, which is spread over an area of circa 3400sqm, houses the green roofed Animal Aftercare Centre, timber stables, green parking areas and indigenous landscaped areas. The green roof design was conceived in order to mitigate the visual impact of this building, complement the surrounding areas and obtain energy saving characteristics.
QP were appointed as architects, structural and civil engineers for the design, construction and finishing of the Animal Aftercare Centre at 'Ta’ Qali'. The design of this building had to address all functional requirements necessary for an animal centre with an external look that compliments the rural surroundings of the area being in a high visible position from Malta's old silent city, Mdina.
