Responsibilities:

Working on a full-time basis, the chosen candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

Cost and Commercial Manager

  • To advise the Company on the project cost and commercial information from concept right up to certification and completion of the project;
  • To establish and follow-up the procedures for communication and coordination between the members of the project team, as well as monitor the distribution of information an documentation in relation to cost, commercial and contractual matters;
  • To develop high level cost plans, project budgets, bills of quantities, project estimates, tender evaluation, drafting of contracts, contract management, assessment of variations, close out of project finances and such other responsibilities attached to a role of this kind;
  • To work closely with the project manager and contribute to the drafting of reports and others relevant project documents in relation to cost;
  • To take the initiative to meet internal deadlines and work in accordance with resource budgets on projects;
  • To make most economic use of allocated time to assignments based on budgeted resources and immediately discuss any points/issues that require the Management’s guidance;
  • To manage and take on responsibility of the project in question, particularly although not limited to finance and quantities.

Assistant Project Manager Role

  • Managing communication, coordination and transmission of information between stakeholders (consultants, contractors, suppliers, customers, etc.);
  • Reviewing documents/information before submission/circulation, acquiring the approval of the Senior PM beforehand;
  • Assisting with the preparation, updating and issuing of the project management plan, risk register, procurement plan, progress reports also with regard to cost, tender reports, meeting minutes and all other reports, for the development and efficient and effective operational functioning of the project. Such documents must be produced in Ukrainian and / or English as necessary and shall be prepared under the direction and supervision of the Senior Project Manager
  • Assisting in assessing Contractor’s bids and coordinating commercial reviews
  • Supporting the management of Contractors including daily site visits.
  • Supporting with the management of all contractual and administrative aspects of the project including but not limited to: planning, executing, monitoring and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budgets, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Supporting the coordination of all project requirements including leading the client interface and coordinating the multi-disciplinary design team members and all stakeholders to deliver complex programmes of works according to plan;
  • Assisting with the commercial aspect of project plans as well as change and risk control and quantity assurance;
  • Collaborating with Document Controllers and other team members to ensure that the detailed systematic flow of information amongst all interested project team members matches the status of the assigned task/s;
  • Monitoring that the objectives contained in project documents are achieved;
  • Assisting in ensuring QA/QC, carrying out early quantity inspections on site while also taking the necessary remedial action in a timely manner;

Requirements:

  • The individual will have a recognized professional qualification in the areas of Cost, Commercial and Contracts Management and Project management or Construction Management with a proven track record of  solid cost management and project management experience, this including site experience;
  • Professional experience demonstrating successful delivery of complex and/or large scale projects, with multi-disciplinary teams from inception to completion
  • Significant and proven design work experience preferably in the design of hospitality, residential and/or commercial projects
  • The candidate would preferably be a member of the RICS or have other satisfactory/equivalent membership.  
  • Highly cognizant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations, practices and procedures (including contract administration) applicable to the Construction industry in Ukraine, particularly in Kiev;
  • Exposure and conceptual understanding of contract law and pricing is necessary;
  • Experience in delivering luxury hotels from concept to completion would also be necessary;
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and related cost management programs;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Ukrainian;
  • Ability to work under pressure and oriented to work closely with others in a multidisciplinary environment, on a daily basis;
  • The candidate would need to demonstrate attention to detail, leadership and negotiation skills as well as influencing skills, and the ability to understand and express technical concepts accurately with confidence and clarity;

  • Carrying out the duties of an Architect Assistant including but not limited to assisting in the architectural design of projects from the conceptual phase through to construction, preparing concept sketches, and architectural, planning, construction and technical drawings and documents as well as  preparing architectural and landscaping detailing work;
  • Assisting the architectural team with dimensional surveys of buildings;
  • Preparing and developing block plans, layout plans, elevations and cross sections in architectural, planning and construction drawings;
  • Assisting in preparing and developing 3D-modelling and visual imagery for architectural projects;
  • Preparing and developing area schedules for architectural projects and other related projects;
  • Preparing and developing aperture schedules or schedules relating to other architectural components, including developing product data sheets;
  • Undertaking works related to the Planning Authority (PA), liaising with the PA, environmental and other Authorities and organizations for planning consent and any other associated permits and clearances while also preparing and developing drawings and documents required for applications at the appropriate stages of each project;
  • Inspecting and delivering supervision services on project sites to ensure compliance with contract documents, professional and company standards, health and safety, and codes of practice;
  • Meeting with the various stakeholders to coordinate plans and make sure all requirements are met;

Requirements

  • A recognized architectural degree or a related qualification in this field.
  • A proven track record working as an architect assistant with experience working on a variety of architectural projects including hospitality, residential and/or commercial projects, among others;
  • Highly cognizant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations and practices applicable to the construction industry in Malta;
  • A solid understanding in local Planning Authority policies;
  • A valid driving licence required;

  1. Carrying out the duties of a Project Planner including but not limited to planning, scheduling, sequencing, site logistics and support of project management, and construction management;
  2. Preparing, managing and updating planning programmes and  schedules as required, using appropriate tools while tracking project milestones and deliverables, communicating as needed with the project team throughout;
  3. Ensuring full knowledge and understanding of the sequencing of work adopted in the programmes;
  4. Supporting the Senior Partner with the development and delivery of progress reports and any other reports requested, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations;
  5. Preparing explanatory drawings in Acad or other similar programmes/software;
  6. Measuring, quantifying and estimating works and production rates from drawings and records;
  7. Assisting the Project Management Team to put together monitoring schemes and updating them periodically as required;
  8. Assisting  the Project Management Team to prepare progress analysis reports on a periodic basis and as required;
  9. Assisting and being proactive in the preparation of case studies, alternative what-if scenarios and preparing related reports that may be required by the Project Management Team to demonstrate alternative courses of action that may be required to mitigate delays, identify problems and propose possible solutions;
  10. Proactively managing changes, identify potential crises, and devising contingency plans when and as necessary.
  11. Ensuring compliance with local, national and international health and safety and construction/industry regulations.
  12. Supporting and following up on QA/QC project plans and associated communications documents for the different projects;
  13. Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools while tracking project milestones and deliverables, communicating as needed with the project team throughout;

Requirements

  1. You have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Construction or Project Management.
  2. You have a proven track record with several years’ experience working in a construction environment and with Project Planning delivery of complex and/or large scale projects, including residential, commercial, infrastructural, medical health-care units, luxury hotel projects etc
  3. You would preferably have an MRICS/FRICS and/or other recognised Project Management certification;
  4. You are highly cognizant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations and practices applicable to the construction industry in Malta, having also technical and commercial acumen of infrastructural and  large scale projects;
  5. You are proficient in the use of AutoCad, Primavera and MS Project, as well as Microsoft Office. Knowledge in BIM and/or other related design systems would be considered an asset;
  6. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English;

Responsibilities

  • Proactively and efficiently managing changes in project scope, identifying potential crises, and assisting with devising contingency plans when and as necessary;
  • Ensuring that all Civil and Structural Engineering aspects of the project are properly managed and controlled;
  • Preparing recommendations for Clients’ approval;

Main Objective

To assume responsibility for the conceptualisation and design creation, development and implementation of project design of varying scale; to provide design continuity and leadership throughout the entire design development lifecycle; to develop the initial design concept and coordinate with other team members to further develop design concepts through schematic design and the design development project phases; to demonstrate professionalism and sound judgment, and knowledge-sharing with, and continuous support to, the members of the team. Team building and motivation are also key. 

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, developing and implementing project design concepts, master planning and architectural design;
  • Developing project briefs, feasibility studies and design reports;
  • Establishing and maintaining ongoing, productive client relationships;
  • Determining applicable statutory requirements and codes;
  • Assuring design conformity to contractual agreements with clients;
  • Understanding and implementing processes to reduce risks and exposure;
  • Monitoring initial design through the design development and up to completion including detailing and supervision;

Requirements

  • A recognised degree in Architecture and a proven track record working in designing a variety of architectural projects including residential, commercial and hospitality. A design specialisation, an architecture license and international work experience are preferred.  
  • A chartership with a recognised institution will be considered an asset;
  • Proven management skills to lead design teams and consultants, and maintain strong client relationships;
  • Highly cognizant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations and practices applicable to the construction industry in Malta;
  • Possess a solid understanding in local Planning Authority policies;
  • Sketching skills, project co-ordination and presentation experience and proficiency with design and presentation software (such as AutoCad, Rhino, Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lumion etc). Revit experience would be considered an asset.
