Working on a full-time basis, the chosen candidate will primarily be responsible for:

  • Pre-development heritage consultation and compilation of assessments
  • Compilation of Surveillance Data Sheet documents
  • Monitoring and on-site coordination of projects
  • Archaeological investigations and on-site technical documentation, including surveying techniques
  • Post-excavations include the examining, cleaning, preservation and/or conservation, treatment and documentation of artifacts
  • The creation of an investigation archive of cataloged records
  • Illustrations and photography of archaeological artifacts/remains and other related works
  • Site coordination as and when necessary to organize investigative works, liaising with the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage and being responsible for the completion of the site archive
  • Non-intrusive field walking studies as authorised by the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage
  • Adhering to high standards of ethical and responsible behaviour in the conduct of archaeological services as directed by the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage.

Requirements

  • A minimum Master’s degree in archaeology practice obtained from a recognized University
  • Knowledge about Maltese archaeology
  • Experience in development-led projects would be considered an asset
  • Archaeological draughtsmanship
  • Able to collaborate effectively in a team
  • Flexibility would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

The successful will be offered training and work alongside experienced archaeologists until the required licence is obtained from the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, where applicable.

Responsibilities:

Working on a full-time basis, the chosen candidate will primarily be responsible the following duties:

  • Carrying out the duties of a document controller including but not limited to the management of all project documentation, filing and archiving, and ensuring accessibility of specific materials to specific stakeholders;
  • Coordinating effectively with internal team members to deliver and receive coordinated and controlled information and documents, to/from all parties concerned;
  • Managing and ensuring the seamless distribution of technical documents in both electronic and hard-copy formats;
  • Managing requests for documentation;
  • Managing and leading the company’s document control software;
  • Controlling, managing and coordinating all information that’s issued for review, approval, construction, etc. on the projects’ electronic document management system (EDMS);
  • Issuing, registering and coordinating the correct distribution and allocation of all official correspondence and documents between the project team, client, contractors, sub-contractors and authorities as well as between third parties and vendors;
  • Keeping minutes of all meetings held, distributing these in a timely manner

Requirements

  1. You have a proven track record with several years’ experience working in a construction environment and with Document Control delivery of complex and/or large scale projects, including residential, commercial, infrastructural, medical health-care units, luxury hotel projects etc.
  2. You would preferably have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Construction or Project Management. An MRICS/FRICS and/or other recognised Project Management certification would be considered an asset.
  3. You would ideally be cognizant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations and practices applicable to the construction industry in Malta, having also technical and commercial acumen of infrastructural and  large scale projects;
  4. You are proficient in the use of ASITE as well as Microsoft Office. Knowledge in Primavera and MS Project, BIM, AutoCad, and/or other related project management/design systems would be considered an asset;
  5. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English;
  6. You are able to work under pressure and to work closely with others in a multidisciplinary environment;
  7. You have attention to detail, a meticulous approach, influencing skills, assertiveness and the ability to understand and express technical concepts accurately with confidence and clarity;

Responsibilities:

Working on a full-time basis, the chosen candidate will primarily be responsible for the following duties:

  • Carrying out the duties of a Senior Architect including but not limited to property valuations, planning consent, design coordination, feasibility studies, architectural specifications and detailing, supervision of works and certification, as well as other administrative matters relating to architecture;
  • Supporting the Senior Partner with managing all project aspects in relation to the Architectural department, including coordinating works with clients, other members of staff and other consultants,
  • Supporting the team and providing the necessary guidance in carrying out their duties related to preparing valuation reports, including market research, area take-offs, assessment of planning data and any necessary site inspections;
  • Reviewing and issuing property valuations, ensuring these are in accordance with company standards, legislations and relevant codes of practices, to ensure a complete and coordinated approach;
  • Estimating costs relating to the properties being valued;
  • Carrying out duties related to the Planning Authority (PA), liaising with the PA and other Authorities and organizations for planning consent and any other necessary permits and clearances, required for applications at the appropriate stages of each project;
  • Supporting the team and reviewing submissions relating to the Planning Authority (PA) and other Authorities;
  • Preparing reports relating to planning procedures and project descriptions;
  • Supporting the team with the production of architectural and technical drawings relating to architectural components;
  • Undertaking and supporting the team with design coordination;
  • Preparing and presenting reports and / or presentation material to clients and stakeholders as necessary;
  • Supporting more junior team members when and as necessary, including any training requirements;

Requirements

  • A recognized architectural degree and/or a recognized professional qualification in this field. A master’s degree in a relevant subject would be considered an asset;
  • A proven track record working for a considerable amount of years in property valuations and planning matters;
  • A local Perit warrant is required;
  • Proven management skills and leadership qualities to lead teams and consultants, and maintain strong client relationships, whilst motivating and inspiring others;
  • A solid understanding in local Planning Authority policies;
  • Highly cognizant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations and practices applicable to the Construction industry in Malta;

Requirements

  • Highly cognizant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations and practices applicable to the construction industry in Malta;
  • A solid understanding in local Planning Authority policies;

Responsibilities:

Assistant Project Manager Role

  • Managing communication, coordination and transmission of information between stakeholders.
  • Reviewing documents/information before submission/circulation, acquiring the approval of the approver.
  • Assisting with the preparation, updating and issuing of the project management plan, risk register, procurement plan, progress reports also with regard to cost, tender reports, meeting minutes and all other reports, for the development and efficient and effective operational functioning of the project. Such documents must be produced in Ukrainian and / or English.
  • Reporting & recording all other project works as necessary (in Ukrainian /English when relevant)
  • Formally communicating with the client (in English) and meeting with the client to ensure that all requirements are met in line with their business needs and objectives;
  • Assisting in assessing the contractor’s bids and coordinating commercial reviews.
  • Supporting the management of all contractual and administrative aspects of the project.
  • Supporting the coordination of all project requirements including leading the client interface and coordinating the multi-disciplinary design team members and all stakeholders to deliver complex programmes of works according to plan;
  • Collaborating with document controllers and other team members to ensure that the detailed systematic flow of information amongst all interested project team members matches the status of the assigned task/s;
  • Monitoring that the objectives contained in project documents are achieved;
  • Assisting in ensuring QA/QC, carrying out early quantity inspections on site while also taking the necessary remedial action in a timely manner;
  • Willing to work the necessary extra hours as may be needed from time to time to meet client requirements, timeframes and deadlines.

Site Supervisor Role

  • To assist the senior project manager and relative senior partners with the direct management of the contractor, responsible for the commencement of construction works (to set out the site and organise facilities).
  • To assist in ensuring that the contractor’s logistic plan is implemented efficiently and reviewed to ensure the safety of the public at interfaces with the construction works.
  • To supervise, daily, on site, the contractor’s/s’ and sub-contractor’s/s’ works (site inspections).
  • To monitor and report daily (site reports) the tasks and activities performed by the contractor.
  • To verify, at all times, that the health and safety standards, applicable by law, and the project EH&S plan, are effectively enforced by the contractor, reporting any breach or non-compliance.
  • To assist with planning, scheduling, and instructing contractor’s/s’ works according to the baseline program and using the construction planning software.
  • To report progress accurately, measured against the baseline project program.
  • To assist with ensuring that the QA and QC procedures are implemented by the contractor and to produce all necessary required documentation, records, reports etc.
  • To assist in resolving problems that the contractor/s and sub-contractor/s might encounter.
  • To work with, maintain, and verify the implementation of the document control system for the project
  • To participate, with the contractor and consultants, in establishing the Quality inspections / control, procedures and criteria.
  • To ensure high quality finishing works and installation of engineering systems.
  • To report, record and issue non-compliance reports (NCRs) and manage the closing out of all NCR during the life time of the construction.
  • To work with the cost manager / quantity surveyor in providing the accurate information necessary to issue payment certificates.
  • To monitor and control the timely submission from the contractor of the executive documentation needed to be produced for the project completion.

Requirements:

  • The individual will have a recognized professional qualification in the areas of Project management or Construction Management with a proven track record of project management experience, this including site experience.
  • Professional experience demonstrating successful delivery of complex projects, with multi-disciplinary teams from inception to completion.
  • A valid local supervisor Certificate on CC2 grade of consequences (responsibility) of the buildings (must have).
  •  A proven track record of working with high quality finishing works and installation of engineering systems according to local norms and construction code/s.
  • A solid number of years’ experience working on estimations of preparatory work and quality estimations after plastering (flatness, mortar quality, correct application of layers).
  • The candidate would preferably be a member of the RICS or have other satisfactory/equivalent membership.  
  • Highly cognizant and abreast with all applicable standards, legislations, practices and procedures (including contract administration) applicable to the construction industry in Ukraine, particularly in Kiev.
  • Exposure and conceptual understanding of contract law and pricing is necessary;
  • Experience in delivering luxury hotel projects from concept to completion;
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office; computer-aided design (CAD) software and specialist construction management computer applications;
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and Ukrainian;
  • Ability to work under pressure and oriented to work closely with others in a multidisciplinary environment, on a daily basis;
  • The candidate would need to demonstrate attention to detail, leadership and negotiation skills as well as influencing skills, and the ability to understand and express technical concepts accurately with confidence and clarity;
  • Collaborative approach with ability to maximize short-term requirements and output whilst building long-term productive relationships;
  • Proficient analytical skills and a measured approach to decision making;
  • Experienced and comfortable with the operation of industry standard forms of contract;
