To strengthen QPs expanding operations locally and overseas, we are seeking a proactive JUNIOR FRENCH SPEAKING QUANTITY SURVEYOR to join our team, in BRUSSELS.
Duties would include:
Working within the cost management team to ensure that projects are completed to pre-agreed budgets, time-frames and contractual agreements; providing a range of traditional quantity surveying duties including but not limited to: estimating quantities and costs of materials, procurement and vetting of contractor quotations and packages, going on-site at various stages of the project to monitor and measure works as they progress and submitting variations as necessary, assisting the Project/Commercial Manager in the upkeep of records and issue to the client, submitting all required reports assisting with translations in technical meetings, and coordinating with other project team members as well as contractors through the complete project lifecycle.
You have a degree in Quantity Surveying, or Construction / Engineering complemented preferably with a quantity surveying specialisation and/or a recognized professional qualification in this field with several years’ experience. You would preferably be a member of the RICS or have other satisfactory/equivalent membership. Experience in public and private sector is necessary. You have experience in drawing up bills of quantities, including using computerised and manual systems. You have a sound working knowledge of estimating processes, measurement of quantities, valuations and final accounts. You are able to work under pressure and have attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French. You are able to work closely with others in a multidisciplinary environment. Finally, you demonstrate resilience and possess leadership and negotiation skills and the ability to understand and express technical concepts accurately with confidence and clarity.
