Responsibilities

Working on a full-time basis and reporting to the Senior Partner, the chosen candidate will be

Responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist in auditing ongoing projects: reports, procurement documents, and risk assessments.
  • Support project monitoring, including potential site visits and progress tracking.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and verify data.
  • Assist in preparation reports, including financial analysis and cost-benefit assessments.
  • Assist in organizing coordination meetings and ensure milestones are met.
  • Assist and prepare cost estimates for capital and maintenance expenditures.
  • Review expenditure with project schedules and timelines.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management, such as preparing reports, presentations, or providing support in meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field as well as a Professional certification such as Chartered Quantity Surveyor (RICS). A Masters Degree in Financial Management is preferred.
  • A proven track record with approximately 2 years’ experience working in cost analysis or financial analysis roles, ideally within the AEC industry.
  • Familiar with all applicable standards, legislations and practices applicable to cost management;
  • Knowledgeable of cost accounting principles and practices, financial forecasting and budgeting processes, and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific cost drivers and benchmarks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex financial data.
  • Sound understanding of both construction data and financial statements / financial metrics.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills as well as Proficiency in the use of AutoCad. Proficiency in BIM and/or other related design systems would be considered an asset;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and express technical concepts and financial information accurately with confidence and clarity;
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Able to demonstrate resilience, leadership qualities, influencing skills, assertiveness and negotiation skills;
  • A motivated team player demonstrating an eager and positive work ethic;
